Application Structure

A MetaScale CMS based website closely follows the folder structure recommended for use with Zend Framework. The library and application files are located outside the publically accessible /httpdocs folder. If you have worked with Zend Framework 1.x, MetaScale CMS should feel familiar.

The /application/design and /httpdocs/design folders are used to store theme related files (note: these folders are not versioned using SVN and can be edited by the customer).

Website pages are managed using the CMS Pages module combined with a basic template system. This caters for the majority of use cases. If specific functionality is required, this can be done by developing additional modules which are then accessible via the CMS interface.
